Jealous of the Birds
Epistle
Your heart's in Australia now
All heeding call of Kookaburra
And gumnuts from the eucalyptus
Things that I have yet to witness

What you are cannot be bound
Into leather works of fiction
Woven into silken tapestries
Like the one you showed me bashfully

I know wherever we go (oh)
There'll be joy in the flow of the river
Of the river

I can smell the scent of lavender
In the fields of Southern France
Sandstone bricks are warmеd at midday
You've never lookеd at me quite that way

I collect what I have seen
And so the world becomes a shrine
All I have is offered to you
What is yours so shall be mine

I know wherever we go (oh)
There'll be joy in the flow of the river
I know wherever we go (oh)
There'll be joy in the flow of the river
Of the river
Of the river
