Hey guys it's me, Brent. You are listening to the original cast recording of a musical revue I wrote in college called Shades of Gray. A musical revue is different than a musical because it doesn't have a single plot that connects the show. Instead it's a series of sketches in song form. Most of them are comedy songs and a few are serious. I wrote this show between the ages of 19 and 20 and it was produced in Norman, Oklahoma and Dallas, Texas. Two of the songs from the show, The Roommate Song and My Favorite Thing, ended up on my YouTube channel. The rest survived as a document of my early work in musical theater song writing.
