Time
Work Hard
[Verse 1: Time]
Don’t wait for art to come to you go on a journey to find it
Go on a voyage through the forest find a chorus and rhyme it
I used to romanticize inspiration saying it was about timing
I dove into the dungeon of my mind and saw creativity climbing
Some are born with talent, some are born with class privilege
Some are born with trust funds to balance, swimming in riches
My only talent has always been to never give a fuck
To grab a goal by my talons and wrestle to the rough
That’s why I delete the death threats and shrug off the comments I suck
I never went to Julliard but I can sell a song for a buck
I can drink a gallon of coffee and sleep for an hour a night
Then wake up and yell today another classic I’ll write
I can’t sing for shit but I can under sleep you
I can outwrite you I can fight you I can defeat you
I keep going I keep failing I don’t ask for redos
I keep smiling I keep trying I will out read you
I will out humble you I treat people like people
I try to forgive and be kind because the ego is evil
Quantity over quality seems to be my mantra
Don’t die with songs still in you that pain will haunt you
I got a 1000 songs on my hard drive maybe one will stick
Work hard, love your art, don’t let anyone tell you shit
