Chance The Rapper’s Top 5 Features Since Acid Rap
Welcome back as we get you into another Acid Rap anniversary special! Since the release of Acid Rap back on April 30th, 2013, Chance has been not only a phenomenal artist to watch, but to have him on a song would mean a significant compliment, a fire verse, and a skyrocketing track. Along with the community, we have compiled these 5 great verses released by Chano in the past year!
Mick Jenkins - Crossroads ft. Chance The Rapper & Vic MensaThree Chicago artists all on one song, and of course an exceptional verse from Chance. This verse splendidly showcases Chano's unique flow and creativity. Even though there are 3 fantastic rappers on this song already, including his best bud Vic, he manages to spread love to other artist such as Chief Keef, Common, Kanye, King Louie, and Katie Got Bandz, but at the same time keeps his crazy personality bursting through the beat while sneaking in braggadocious lines to showcase who is bossKamikaze comma Common Keef and ComicCon
Ye and me and King L Katie here's a comet coming
Kamehameha, Chi may have made a spirit bomb
Here’s a ton of acid, ready for it here it comes
Rapsody - Lonely Thoughts ft. Chance The RapperAn absolutely amazing verse, maybe even shocking to anyone as they start off listening to Chano. Chance pairs words together for a homophone like effect, while building up his verse to culminate with one of the greatest metaphors ever for saying he's helpless. Even more are scattered throughout, and there is even an unexpected sound of Chance's phone going off at the end of the verse, but that didn't stop him from killing it bar for bar!I'm a parapalegic parrot with a pair of crutches in a no fly zone
On the phone talking bout how Bush trying to disparage us
Vic Mensa - Tweakin' ft. Chance The Rapper With the release of Vic Mensa's "Innanetape" an imminent collaboration with Chance came along with it. Meshing perfectly within the track, Chance gives a verse full of dope wordplay, and some wittiness that might make you dizzy. Chance & Vic are long time friends, so the chemistry on this track makes it one of the most enjoyable to listen to. Rapping at the tardiest of tempos in a similar fashion to "NaNa", Chance kills it, and remember, together they build the motto of tomorrow: "evila llits yenoMeavS"! Bumpin' Kanye like it just came out
No songs with Kendrick, we just hang out
They say a smart man looks like a mad man to a dumb man
But one man...wait I'm tweakin'
Mapei - Don't Wait (Remix) ft. Chance The RapperMapei released an unexpected remix of her original song "Don't Wait" and allows Chance to provide us with another surprise verse. Riddled with dope doses of his lyrical ability and superb production from his band, the Social Experiment, it's a magnificent addition. While Chance has rapped about love previously, this is a new experience mixed together with some dope alliteration and metaphors. We even get a little English lesson from Mr. Bennett!I'll hug you when I see you like you're leaving for a trip
I fuck you when I need to, I just need you for a bit
SZA - Childs Play ft. Chance The RapperFor SZA's new album "Z" Chance gives us a smooth, nostalgic verse with all the clever bars to boot! He leaps into it immediately and manages to blend in perfectly with the production, and the mood set by SZA flows on through him, creating an exceptional track from both, with a beautiful and minimalistic duet to end us with!Winds on my window
Ash on my skin, when the record low temps for the wind blow
Only write rhythm to the tardiest of tempos
Only ride shotgun when the car is a limo
That's it folks! Check back tomorrow for the next feature, and prepare for the anniversary when we reveal the impact article!
