Paul Shapera
The Cat
Amber:
There is a film where a man who kills decides to leave that violent life
He gets a cat, he gets a wife, a new life but his wife then dies
A rowdy thug tries to mug him and kills his sweet and precious cat
The man he cracks, his guns unpacks, and runs a rampage in his wrath

When the world quakes and the blues skies break and fire rains from the sky
When all you’ve held dissolves and melts as reality runs out of time
Thе benediction of mass extinction and armagеddon sighs
And all it cost to stop it was the loss of just one life

But from his wrath good comes in fact, the man in violent grief he slays
The mob who ran the town he takes them down, he wipes them all away
Purpose shows in ways unknown, plans the angels may enact
And sometimes Nash, your fate in fact, is to be the murdered cat

In your world still lives a girl that you so dearly loved
Her agony and painful screams will fill the bleeding skies above
But they won't last as your world cracks and shrieks with one last cry
And all it cost to stop it was the loss of just one life

I'm sorry Nash what a thing to ask, it’s a horrid way to die
We gave you time to enjoy some life I hope you had a few good nights
But a world cool and wonderful depends on you to die
You’ve got to know, we all must go, it’s your purpose in this life
This world’s full of pain and lies, all the worlds on down the line
All of us are trapped within the endless wheel of suffering
We must transform we must escape the cycle of this dark flesh cage
We’ll know the bliss that you wish for only on Elysium’s shore
