Worry Away
I unhinged my worry
When I grabbed it by the throat,
We wrestled for a while
While I kept my nerve afloat.

I knew I couldn`t rest
Until I`d had my say,
No way would I keep quiet
Another second of that day.

'You`ve done your best
To drag me down
And bring me close to tears
As you destroyed my confidence
And backed up all my fears,
Now I`m at my lowest ebb
There`s no more work for you to do
As from this moment on
You and I are through'.

I then stood up and walked away
With a smile forced upon my face,
Worry still often chases me
But now I`m the one that sets the pace.
