Heather P Wilson
Tainted Love
She prayed he would treasure her
Love her with all his heart,
Hold her ever close to him
Through life they`d never part.

She`d watched him from a distance
Romance was in her mind,
She did her best to attract him
With a smile so sweet and kind.

When he glimpsed her alluring eyes
Sparkling up at him,
He knew forever he`d be smitten
No way was his instant love a whim.

As she felt his lips touch hers
With the lingering taste of garlic bread,
She rushed off home to read a book
Tucked up alone in bed.
