My Dream Catcher
My dream catcher`s not that diligent
It just hangs around my bed,
Missing many nightmares
Perhaps it`s too well fed.

It may have worked very hard
Through several problem years,
I`m left wondering, did it save me
From coming close to tears.

I must see if it has a bar code
Or if it`s past its sell by date,
If not, I`ll just have to admit
I`m going to bed too late.

Often when I`m over tired
My dreams get all confused,
Could be that poor dream catcher
Is feeling quite abused.

It`s best I relocate it,
To where most dreams are sweet and mild,
There it may find its niche at last
To pacify a little child.
