Life's Treasure
I`ll move it, push it, shove it,
Get it out of here,
I awoke early this morning
With a fallen tear.

Misery had set in
After a scary dream,
For a while it seemed reality
I`m sure I gave a scream.

My eyes refused to focus
Head began to throb,
Who was that demon in my dream
Was it my sleep he wished to rob? .

He thankfully has vanished
My 'blessings' now I count,
If I could make them tangible
In a frame, every one I`d mount.

I could take a glance to remind me
Each and every day,
To hang on to life`s treasures
But throw the trash away.
