Infatuation
'WHAM' you controlled her
Without a 'may I' or a 'please',
She was convinced you were 'true love'
Yet eventually, you put her 'ill at ease'.

You thrilled and excited
She felt the need to walk on air,
Trusting you implicitly
But you never once were fair.

Many saw right through you
So transparent you turned out to be,
'Infatuation' running wild
Trying to change your identity.

Like fool`s gold you glistened
Always full of fake charm,
Thankfully in the nick of time
Inner bells rang out 'ALARM'.

You were ousted at full speed
Before she lost much pride,
'Infatuation' you will never
Again with her, reside.

Only 'true love' will she welcome
'Imitations' now she`ll know,
The deceitful way you treated her
Is etched within her soul.
