Doubtful Love
She held a rose within her palm
As she kissed it tenderly,
Then she rubbed the petals loose
So each one could fly free.

Your love she cherished longingly
Till your fickle heart did roam,
That rose she grew for you
Will never find another home.

You discarded her without a thought
For face beauty you`d just met,
You yet may live to doubt your deed
Then live with much regret.

Her love for you has also flown
Far beyond recall,
Now as she views the petals
She wonders, did she love you at all.

So, smugly travel on your way
Don`t take a backward glance,
Be assured, she`s happy now
It could be you that`s lost your chance.
