A Happy Morning

Waking to a morning

When at last the sun found time

To send a ray of pleasure

Over this humble home of mine,

My senses gave a little skip

Recording there was no pouring rain

That for days had been streaming

Down my window pane.



Nothing that exciting

But it gave me a happy glow

To find something so very simple

Could lift my spirit

When I was feeling low.
