The Indelicates
A Book of the Seven Seals
First I
First I saw a white horse
And he that sat upon him
Went forth into the world
We had
We had a white wedding
I came clothed in the sun
To lie with the lamb
Then I
Then I saw a red horse
And the Lord will have vengeance
On an indifferent race
Then I saw a black horse
A used car -salesman
Your body's the bargain
Your soul is the sale
Babylon!
It shines, it must be Babylon!
Then I
Then I saw a pale horse
And his foot soldiers with him
Forth into the world
Babylon
Laying siege to Jerusalem
With chariots and torches
As Zechariah foresaw
Don’t turn
Don't shrink from the fire
There's a round in the chamber
A new star in the sky
When that last seal
When that seal cracks open
They will hear a new song
They will see you at last
Give me war
Give me sickness
Give me famine
Give me death
Keep your love
Keep your comfort
Take my heartbeat
Take my breath
There’s no changing the world
There's no saving this world
There's not a thing in this world
Let it all come down
