Blaming You
I see the world in a different light, now
Wearing a pair of lilac shades
I'm running towards my bus
Still waiting at the stop
And with me knocking on the door
The driver thinks it’s time to leave...

So I take a seat on the bench
While I'm waiting
Listening to music of a band
I would like to join
But they're from another town
And maybe I think it’s just too far away...

...and maybe I think
That this is all your fault!
I'm blaming you
That my teardrops taste of salt
I'm blaming you
That the sun seems like a threat
And what I want I'll never get
And that I don't know what to do
I'm just not ready, yet...

While I'm dealing with it all:
My thoughts and freezing hands
A woman from nowhere is
Reaching me something
She's trying to convince me
In her expensive mink
That the Bible is the truth
And soon there will be peace...
...but I can’t believe
That this is all your fault!
I’m blaming you
That my teardrops taste of salt
I'm blaming you
That the sun seems like a threat
And what I want I’ll never get
And that I don't know what to do
I'm just not ready, yet...

Finally at work
I remember my dream from last night
My ribs are still hurting from the violent grip
But I managed to get away from
Whomever wanted me harmed
But it took me all the energy
I had saved up for today...

And maybe I think
That this is all your fault!
I'm blaming you
That my teardrops taste of salt
I’m blaming you
That the sun seems like a threat
And what I want I'll never get
And that I don't know what to do
I'm just not ready, yet...
