The Strongest Hearts
Laura lost her mother late last year
She's doing better but still fights the tears
She thinks of all the things she didn't say
And longs for one more day

Jessie holds a letter in her trembling hand
There's someone new, he hopes she'll understand
And she wonders why the sky is still so blue
It should be crying too

These broken hearts will need some time
One day, they'll wakе up and they'll find

That life is hard, and pain is real
But thе strongest hearts are not made of steel
They're made of tenderness and trust
Sometimes life has its way with us
And we find it's the heartaches, struggles and scars
That make the strongest hearts

Cindy had the nursery done in pink and white
Till a shadow fell across it late one night
The baby girl they longed for came too soon
Now there's an empty room

Oh, Maggie sits alone, watching a midnight moon
Her children are grown, her husband died last June
And nothing's mattered much since he's been gone
Life just goes on and on
These broken hearts will need some time
One day, they'll wake up and they'll find

That life is hard, and pain is real
But the strongest hearts are not made of steel
They're made of tenderness and trust
Oh, sometimes life has its way with us
And we find it's the heartaches, struggles and scars
That make the strongest hearts

Oh...
The strongest hearts
The strongest hearts
The strongest, strongest hearts
Ooh, yeah
Oh...
Strongest
The strongest hearts
