Daniel Amos
Band Intros (Live in '79)
[Spoken - Terry Scott Taylor]
I'll take time right now to introduce, uh, we wanna introduce the band to you, okay? So, uh, if it gets boring, you can go to sleep or whatever you wanna do. But anyway. I wanna start at my right, with the, uh, high king of percussive embellishments, Alex MacDougall on percussion, ladies and gentlemen. Hey, Alex.

[Alex MacDougall]
And on the bass tonight, we have a very, uh, well-dressed, debonair man. You notice that unruly lock of hair upon his brow. That's Mr. Marty Dieckmeyer.

[Marty Dieckmeyer]
Thank you, ladies and gentleman. Al, thank you. Uh, there's another groovy guy back here on the pots and pans, and uh, Mr., uh, Eddie Speedo de la Para McTaggart. Speedo!

[Ed McTaggart]
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Over here we have the most talented man in the group. He's donning his Donny and Marie button tonight. Our fantastic lead guitar player, Jerry Parker Chamberlain. That stunk.

[Jerry Chamberlain]
Over here on keyboards, we have Mr. Mark Cook.

[Mark Cook]
Okay, thank you very much. Okay. We always save the least for last. Oh! I didn't see you. I'd like to introduce to you, on rhythm guitar, Mr. Terry Taylor.

[Taylor]
I'd also like to introduce our man on the board back here. He hardly ever gets any credit. His name is John Malta. He's on the big machine back there. Come on, John, stand up so everyone can see. Anyway. And also in the back, the guy that, uh, you never see at all. It's probably good that you don't: Wesley. Come on out here, Wes. Wave a little bit or something. This is our road crew, ladies and gentlemen. Drove clear over here from MacArthur Boulevard just to be here tonight. Anyway, when you put it all together, somehow it just comes out right. It comes out sounding something like this.
