Brandy Clark
Tired of Flying
Pour the last of the wine down the kitchen sink
I don’t even have time to finish a drink
There’s a moment always slipping through my hands
There’s a breath I always chase but just can’t catch
As I look out the window I wonder where the sparrow
Goes to find shelter from the storm
Does that blue gray sky get tired of crying?
Does that lonely bird get tired of flying?
Oh oh oh oh oh
If I could only stop the spinning wheel
Let myself just feel what I really feel
I imagine I’m a stranger on the street
Then the ringing phone breaks through my revery
As I look out the window I wonder where the sparrow
Goes to find shelter from the storm
Does that blue gray sky get tired of crying?
Does that lonely bird get tired of flying?
Oh oh oh oh oh
As I look out the window I wonder where the sparrow
Goes to find shelter from the storm
Does that blue gray sky get tired of crying?
Does the sun wish it could just stop shining?
Does that lonely bird get tired of flying?
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh I don’t know
