Man at the Mill
It's the same old man a'livin' at the mill
The mill turns around of its own free will
And hand in the hopper, the other in a sack
The ladies step forward and the gents fall back

And down sat an owl with its head all light
A lonesome day needs a lonesome night
I thought I heard a pretty girl say
Court all night and you sleep next day

And my old man's from Kalamazoo
He don't wear no "yes, I do"
Oh, once to the left and once to the right
And this old mill spins day and night

It's the same old man a'livin' at the mill
The mill turns around of its own free will
And hand in the hopper, the other in a sack
The ladies step forward and the gents fall back
