R.A.P. (Rhythm and Poetry)

[Verse 1]

Supply a poem with a beat, aid a couplet with a rhythm

And transform the most elegant into a stereotypical anthem

I understand these claims, the cause of the most renowned

But what’s shying underground is not as bad as it sounds

Strip away the instrumental and brand it lyrics, no

Society marks it a different genre, I just call it flow

They say rap can’t stand alone, yet here I am doing

And if this isn’t rap, then what am I doing

They probably looking at me like he preaching nonsense

But last time I checked it fitted in the ordinance

Preferring solid melodies over desultory verses

I promise that these lines are nothing but my earnest
