Mask, Sonnet Poem

[Verse 1]

Boring through the eyes of the man in the mirror

And seeing right through his mask of laughter

Fake smiles, broken hearts, all just tears of a clown

Behind his glowing masquerade is a dripping gloom frown

I can only see his faults, his sins, everything he wronged

Because all his joy and morality are so far gone

But I feel for him, I understand this fellow’s pain

Trust down at his feet, suffering a hate he can’t contain

Seasons are no more, he walks in rain, all the same

While misery chips him away, driving him completely insane

His hands itching to act, head spilling with suicidal thoughts

Heavy decisive shots, drunken shots, and deadly shots

Rest in peace my dear friend, but no need for farewells

For I will follow you till the end, wherever you might dwell
