Learn to Pray
What a wonderful day that was
When you were saved
Jesus came into your life
And washed your sins away
Oh, how good it made you feel
To know salvation was real
And the pleasures of this life
Had no more appeal

But then a problem
Knocked you off your feet
An obligation that you could not meet
It might have been something
That somebody said
Well, it hurt so bad that it made you forget

You've got to learn to pray
If you want to stay
In a place where He, He can have His way
Jesus waits for you to call His Name
He'll deliver you if you would pray

So the way to stay on top
Is by staying on your knees
Asking God to heal your soul
Of all of its disease
There's no substitute
Or a gimmick you can use
Only seeking God above
He'll deliver you
Oh, when a problem knocks you off your feet
Or an obligation you think you cannot meet, no
Or it might be something
That somebody will say
But the best thing to do is learn to pray

You've got to learn to pray
If you want to stay
In a place where He, He can have His way
Jesus waits for you to call His Name
He'll deliver you if you would pray

You've got to learn to pray
If you want to stay
In a place where He, He can have His way
(He can have His way, yeah)
Jesus waits for you to call His Name
He'll deliver you if you would pray
(You've got to learn to pray)

You've got to learn to pray
If you want to stay
In a place where He, He can have His way
Jesus waits for you to call His Name
(If you want to stay)
He'll deliver you if you would pray
Don't stop praying
Though your world may be swaying
He is going to bring you out
Don't you know without a doubt

Men should always pray and not faint
Oh, yes, in these evil days
Talk to Jesus from on your knees
And say, oh, Lordy

Men should always pray and not faint
Oh, yes, in these evil days
Talk to Jesus from on your knees
And say, oh, Lordy

Men should always pray
Men should always pray...
