Sunset (The Death of Thumbelina) (Alternate)
Four four almost finite
When I peeked inside
I did not see
Chalice nor grail
God wasn't there
In the darkness
The curtain tearn

I have already seen
Black ships ate the sky
The dusk blue broke open
And I laughed out bottles
And saw the trees fall
And heard their collapse
But smiled and nodded
And watched the dim sunset
Whilst the cocktails clash
Their bleak glass domes
Made shivers
In my peacock eye

And I am all Thumbelina
I died for you all
And if I took the time
When I took your time
You sleep this time
All the way home
And watch the egg timer bubble and wink
With a face behind a gun
I saw the matinee is in town
Sunset
And I tumbled into the cardboard
Sunset

Sunset

Dim
Birdsong
Teethless
Sunset

Sunset
