Benjamin A. Horowitz
Mr. Benjamin A. Horowitz, also known as Ben, is the Co-Founder and General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz/Andreessen Horowitz L.P. and Andreessen Horowitz II, L.P.

Mr. Horowitz serves as an Advisor of Asana, Inc., Ceros Inc. and TinyCo, Inc. He Co-Founded Usermind, Inc. in 2013. He also co-founded Opsware Inc. (Loudcloud) in 1999 and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer since September 1999.

Mr. Horowitz served as Vice President and General Manager of the E-Commerce Platform division at Time Warner Inc. (America Online Inc.), from April 1999 to September 1999.

From July 1995 to March 1999, he served at Netscape Communications Corporation (Netscape Communications, Inc.) in various capacities, including Vice President of the Directory and Security Product Line from 1997 to 1998.

Prior to Netscape, Mr. Horowitz worked at Lotus Development Corp., where he held various senior marketing positions. He served as Vice President and General Manager at Business Technology Organization Unit at Hewlett-Packard Company.

Mr. Horowitz started his career at Silicon Graphics International Corp. as an Engineer in 1990. He served at IBM Collaboration Solutions software. He has been a Director of Skype Global S.à r.l., since November 2009 and Factual Inc. since December 2010.

Mr. Horowitz serves as a Member of the Advisory Board of Aster Data Systems, Inc. Mr. Horowitz serves as Strategic Advisor to the Board of Apptio, Inc. He serves as a Director of Databricks, Inc. He serves as a Director of Tidemark Systems, Inc. and Magnet Systems, Inc. Mr. Horowitz serves as a Director of 3dna, Corp., Propel Software Corporation, Skype S.à r.l.

He serves as a Member of Advisory Board of NearbyNow, Inc. He has been a Director of Aliph, Inc. since March 16, 2011. Mr. Horowitz serves as a Director of Foursquare Labs, Inc., Genius Media Group Inc., Capriza, Inc., PROFERI, Inc., Okta, Inc., and SnapLogic, Inc. Mr. Horowitz served as a Director of Omnicell Inc. from September 1999 to May 24, 2005, Opsware Inc., since September 1999, and MIPS Technologies, Inc. from November 2001 to May 7, 2007.

Mr. Horowitz received an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and a B.A. in Computer Science from Columbia University.
