Tsumi no Namae (The Name of the Sin) piano English ver.
When Lady Fate awakened, she gazed at me upon her whims
“You’re such a lovely baby! A girl like you deserves a gift!
I mean, of course, the special sort
I think I’ll leave you with a little magic…”

YOU CALL MY LIFE
LONG LIVE THE FATES
ITS EVERYTHING OR MORE

Born with a with’ring body, and sunken eyes just like my frame
The ones who saw this figure would yell for help or call me names
“Get back, you beast! Begone, you fiend!
Crawl back into your cave, you make us all afraid!”
…I’ll keep on hiding back how sad it is instead- that way
My sorrow can’t escape through tears that make it harder to pretend I’m okay

Though, suppose this selfish wish of mine was granted in reward
Maybe the pain would pass and give me back a friendship that’s worth living for
One to praise the planet, one to praise that I was born
That’s what I’d like to think and likely need someone to make me sure

YOU CALL MY LIFE
PRAISE THE FATES

“Can you explain your hatred for rats?” He asks, a sightless boy
The herd breaks into laughter, “They’re dirty vermin best destroyed!”
“That’s all it takes? Then my mistake
We’re actually alike, because you too, are blind
So long you’ve hurt this ‘monster’, ignoring every tear she’s shed…
…Of nice and men, I wonder- who’s really dirty in the end?”
To their surprise, their step aside, and in the girl’s defense
“Go now, and don’t forget!”
I never thought he’d answer to their taunts that way
And though I’m happy, I don’t know what has me crying on and on out of shame
Oh suppose I had the power to put someone in my place
I wouldn’t ask to have a pretty face, just one you couldn’t come to hate
But no matter how I pray, no matter how much pain
Nothing’s enough to change, my chest to ache with “why am I the same?”

“They say to blame yourself, but it isn’t true
There’s so much I love, so much I wish you knew
I’d like to comfort you, if words alone will do-
Wait, just wait! I’ve got it settled! I won’t though, for the common petals
Pure and white, I’ll search and find, in bloom, a lily like you!
…When she’s awake, I vow to say it- but for now, I’ll leave a clue.”

CALL MY LIFE
LONG LIVE THE FATES
ITS EVERYTHING OR MORE

The goddess saw this boy and a wicked laugh was her reply
“You like to see her too? That’s exactly what I had in mind!
Come here, come close- let’s start the show!”
And with a flash of light, she cast to cure his sight
She cursed the lily next, like the nightly sky, her painting spread
Beside that tainted flower, she woke the girl and softly said
“Oh my, oh me! What might this be? A gift from him I bet!
You’d better take it, then!”

Ah, I’ve surely sinned- to even think of him that way
I should accept this as a sentence to the heart I’m holding in, but it breaks
“If love is such a crime, well, maybe death would be more kind!”
All at once he appears to wipe my tears, “I swear I’ll never leave your side!
So until the day we die, until the end of time
Let’s write the story of a normal girl who lives a normal life!”
…And did you see that sign?
Watching the spell break like a broken dream, I see
It says, “You’ll be fine.”
