VI Seconds
2 Sons
[Intro]
This is the story of a family of three
One mother, two sons, and what a tragedy would be
But that's for later discussion
So, as we start our first scene
Keep in mind that everything is not always as it seems

[Verse 1]
A household kept clean, bills always paid
Everyone dressed to impress, people swear they got it made
But what lays under the name brands were two different sons
A gangsta in the eldest and an artist in the young
See, the eldest had a lust for snatchin' all that lays around
Which proves that idle hands will become the Devil's playground
The young, a dream chaser, who desired the finer things
Who worked to fly the world and give his mother diamond rings
Two gifts to the same mother, the difference grew before long
The two would discover that they couldn't get along
They'd fight to blood and tears and as we turn this next page
They part ways, things unfold as they grow older with age

[Hook 1]
A mother of two children, one good, and one not so
One of positivity, the other more hostile
One who's stress free, that has dreams of the better
With A B's for letters, lets see how he ends up
[Verse 2]
The younger of the two, workin' hard for his mother
Tryna' take her mind off of the stresses of his brother
Workin' hard on his grades, gettin' Bs and As
Little man never thought he would see the day
Tears would lay along the face of the woman that had brought him here today
See, try as he might to negate the pains of the woman he adores it would seem to fade
But it didn't ever leave, she'd just put it to the side
So she'd smile, and he would, but knew better inside
She hurts, but it's all his gas
To go for better with a fire on his ass
Bustin' his ass in his room in the casa
Growin' and grindin' to become a monster
School plays singing "Hakuna Matata"
To DJs saying he'll rule every roster
Blood, tears and sweat, for what he wanted to get
And the pains that his brother left is something he won't forget
You see, the lack of a father and brother gave him character
And forced him to work alone, he became his own manager
Now he's grown to be somethin' the world will admire
But the actions of his brother added fuel to his fire

[Hook 2]
A mother of two children, one good, and one not so
One of positivity, the other more hostile
One who's stressful, that has schemes for the cheddar
With haze green, Barrettas, lets see how he ends up
[Verse 3]
The eldest, the gangsta, Mr. Big Shit Poppin'
5 alive, ride or die, bodies get droppin'
Given all that he wanted, but he still desired way more
That lust for material is what he'd soon pay for
You see, as a thug, you feel in the prime of your life, right?
Money, bitches, scaring n***as, that's the time of your life, right?
Invincible to all, with no flaws, commitin' lots of sin
Oblivious to rule, so you're oblivious to consequence
Now, here's where it gets harsh, there's the family that loves him
They see what he's doing, but won't put anyone above him
They ask for him to change his ways, they know what's going to arrive
But to him, it's just talk, messing with his drive
So he goes for a drive, one faithful night, his soldier at his side
Arrived at his destination, set his family's angst aside
Stepped inside, blast the 9' and slide
Hoppin' back inside his ride after an act of homicide
What followed? Flashing lights
His mother and brother, patiently waiting, pacin' the floor
Till their bell rings, just to see an officer's face in the door
The two go pale, and the pain is just too much to see
Upon hearing that their beloved's in police custody
Fast forward the time, the mighty gangsta, you should see his face
Praying and pleading for the day that he would beat his case
Never did any of the cast foresee
What would be said by the judge on that March 14th
The cherry on top of this poor family's list of shit
The gavel bangs, life imprisonment
Mother going emotional, the eldest struck depression
Yet surprisingly, the youngest with the blankest of expressions
Could it be that he's accepted what's befallen his others?
Could it be he's just strong for his dear mother?
Or could it be that he realizes, despite that he ignored him
Now, more than ever, the gangsta will need his little brother
[Outro]
Heh, what a twist, how the mighty falls
The lone OG, now cherishing collect calls
What a twist, in a bittersweet delight
No longer valuing objects, now it's visitation rights
Ain't it nice, he gets to show his family his new place
It's just a shame there's no escape and changing ways is too late
A mother of two children, one good, and one not so
One of positivity, the other more hostile
One who stayed true to bringing brightness to his soul
And the other's wrongdoing leading him to his new home
