I Can’t Be The Only One
I can’t be the only one
That’s heard your message
And said, this is what I want to honor
I can’t be the only one
Who feels that the narrative is depressing
And said, thy will be done Father

We live in a world where it’s
Get bitches, fuck the haters, and get paid
See others get made
And see our inabilities to do so, and feel self-hate
Cycles of such lunacy continues to prevail
And honestly for me, the taste of fame is getting a little stale
And I hate what that kind of life automatically entails
Heard of the Gospel, and how it contradicts
Of what makes a man, of what makes him the shit
How it encourages to use our gifts
To serve others
And I want to preach it to another
In hopes that they come to see
The fallacy in worldly prosperity
Laboring for something that rusts
To persuade them to trust
In the reward of heaven in eternity

The streets say go gangsta
But to live taking away another life
Is not the reason why God made ya
Don’t forsake
A chance to make the world better with the life God gave ya
Hollywood says we’ll make you rich
But you’ll have to compromise
And not be true to who you is
If you suck this guy’s dick, hey we’ll put you on some kind of exclusive list
I hope that sounds ridiculous
I hope that doesn’t sound appetizing
I’m realizing the only way to counter
Such offer
Is to be reminding myself of God’s truth
And binding
My mind to the promises of God
My heart to the promises of Jesus
And I hope you hear this song and do the same
Cause in holiness and obedience
You’ll find true freedom
