When I Dropped The Facade
Caricature of my feelings
Hope my smile isn’t too creepy
Wise man learns from his mistakes
Only a fool keeps on repeating
Fate only seems cruel
If there’s no silver lining
Not in a rush to earn a crown
I have faith in God’s timing

Life gave me lemons
So I decided to make lemonade
Why should a lion worry
About what the squirrel has to say

I’m not subjugated
To outdated
Methods that make me miserable
I’ve endured heartbreaks
Made costly mistakes
But I don’t feel one bit cynical
I know that my destiny
Has to do less with me
And more with God
Happiness infallible
Lifestyle that’s radical
Came when I dropped the facade
Imitator to no one
I proudly represent an original
Not enslaved to the trends
Found authenticity to be quite pivotal
Ambition to be a King
Died when I lived like a servant
When I decided to love
I realized how light was the burden

Satan offered me
A chance to be famous
But I rejected it
Cause I know that God knows what my name is
