Flowars
Tokyo driftwood
On Saturday morning I woke up
The sun was peeking through the blinds
Creeping over flesh until it hit my eyes, open wide

Tokyo driftwood, I’ve been lost for good
Tokyo driftwood, I’ve been lost for good

I wear my favorite sweater faded heather grey
And when I look up at the sky the colors change
It goes from blue to grey
I watch the sun just hide away
I sigh and say the rain delayed

Everything comes back like a boomerang
Stop assuming things
You need to rearrange your fucking brain
Reevaluate, so you can calculate and concentrate
On being better today than yesterday
Let’s focus on the shades of grey
I float away like ancient jade
I hope, I pray, I instigate, I hate to wait for anything

You profess to play the game but you let in run your life
Let it take away your name and it tells you what to write
So on the climb to fame, tell me does it feel alright?
While you’re swimming with the sharks
Aren’t you scared that they might bite?

Tokyo driftwood, I’ve been lost for good
Tokyo driftwood, I’ve been lost for good
