Another season turns, I only stop to see
As rain floods out my drive, across the city sleeping in the night

The muscles ache and twitch, the mind it bends again
The lights are harsh to me, the pain from hours spent awake and stressed

It’s been awhile, but I can rest
Chamomile

She curls against me now, and I prefer the cool
But I can’t bring myself, to turn away and move to my own side, so I lie
She’s knows we’re not alone, the ghosts between the sheets
Of present past and future, but she nevеr stops to mention it to me

She just smilеs, I confess
It’s been awhile, since I’ve been blessed
With something kind
So I rest
