I Remember 2006
Battery
We go through cycles everyday
Charging up every night
Using up that energy
From dawn to dusk

But eventually we will stop
And something will break
We will use up the last
Of the energy we will get

We are batteries
Living batteries
And like batteries
We have a ticking clock

Inside of us
And when it breaks
We can no longer charge
And we will be dead

Every year we live
The battery gets more weak
You can try to sleep
To charge it more

But eventually
Your attempts will be futile
Your charger will break
And you will die
We are batteries
Living batteries
And like batteries
We have a ticking clock

Inside of us
And when it breaks
We can no longer charge
And we will be dead

Just a stupid idea
Just a weird metaphor
To explain
How long we live

We’re not the same
We’ll never be
Don’t matter how long we live
As long as we have fun

But eventually we will stop
And something will break
We will use up the last
