The Power Of Love
Walking on the wild side
Following the crowd,
He was brash and self-important
His voice bellowed out so loud.

Always one step forward
To be involved in any fight,
As he lost all righteousness
Through the dark of every night.

His family broke their hearts
Finding words to say to him,
He would scowl, pass on by
His future just looked grim.

Then he held his newborn son
With care as gentle as a dove,
In an instant he was smitten
As his heart filled up with love.

From that moment his life altered
He was so proud to be a dad,
Spending nights with his offspring
Who was his image, nappy clad.

Now much gentleness surrounds him
While love shines from his eyes,
He`s the first to rock the cradle
When his precious baby cries.
