Sun, You're In Control
'I`m not walking in the rain today',
There, I`ve said it and it`s meant,
My old brolly blew inside out
The posh one, to a friend I lent.

Oh, that cheering sun I`m looking for,
Or a little ray to shine
That may find a way to warm
This eager face of mine.

For those that have the benefit
In lands far, far away,
Enjoy it while you can
Are you praying it will stay? .

So many wish for sunshine
As they relax on a beach,
Often flying hours or days
As sunbeams they pay to reach.

Yet how horrific that sun can be
With such power to destroy,
Burning and bringing misery
Without a thought for man or boy.

We can beg, plead or pray
That it`s kind to everyone,
Yet it seems it will always have control,
Our one and only life supporting sun.
