Angel In Disguise
Do angels flitter past us
In a wonderful disguise,
Without a halo or a feather
Just to confuse our human eyes? .

Or do they hover unseen
Around the aura of each life,
As they aim to smooth our pathway
And protect us from much strife? .

Perhaps gentleness surrounds them
With a vision just to care,
To provide comfort and kindness
With much love they bring to share.

Maybe they shed a feather
So pure and snowy white
To reassure their earthly charge
They were protected through the night.

Could be, it`s just wishful imagination
When a feather in our home is found
That convinces our angel
Has indeed just flown around.

Do they happily float about
In any misty evening air
So they would be readily on hand
If a broken heart should need repair?

Now, I wonder if an angel
Has found a way to my vicinity
I find it quite appealing
To think one may take care of me.
