A Sanctuary
I strive to find a clearing
One tiny little space,
Where my two feet may stand upon
Where I won`t feel out of place.

It could be grass, stone or earth
Without a human touch before,
A teeny section of this world
Nature had in store.

A sanctuary beneath the sky
Where in solitude I can stay,
A sorting place for my thoughts
If needed, where I could pray.

I`ll feel peace within my soul
Knowing anytime I could return
To think my problems through
As about myself I try to learn.

Then If anyone else should use it
When I`m not around
I hope they find the same comfort
From my tiny piece of ground.
