My sister crying in the back seat, I felt my emotions were in defeat
Then the ambulance came, took her body. then came the rain

With a yip and a yap, gizmo was happy just like that
When I was little, didn’t know that gizmo
Would be replaced with nibble
But as the years went by, we had to say bye
It was the time of his life where he had to die
He had a infection growing on his back
He started bleeding everyday everywhere, cleaning up the crap
We treated him some medicine, but nothing was not working for him
So he whined and cried in pain, nobody couldn’t look at him the same
So my grandma signed an appointment to just put him to sleep
I didn’t know what to think, looking into his eyes as he barely blinked
But he cried right there, and i realized it was his time
I stood up, walked away, didn’t say a word, too much on my mind
Two weeks later, eating pork chops, watching “Fantastic Mr. Fox”
My father came in, telling me he needed to talk to me desperately
So he explained that while I was in the room
My grandfather took gizmo away
I gasped and looked down as he said
“gizmo, passed away today.”
