Chapter 5: Asphyxiated Soul
[Verse 1]
He can no longer breathe he slowly slips away
Time does not wait, every day is the same
Drowning in sin, suffocating from the smoke
He continued his death slumber until that day he awoke
It was a firm but kind hand that was lent
It was only later that he realized it was someone God sent
He has been dragged from the fray, the pain has washed away
He stares at the hands of a zombie and see that he is here to stay
Yet he still suffers from his worries, trials, and troubles
The only physical being walking beside is his double
Rubble, stumble, his pathway seems to be locked
He has the power but he is overwhelmed with thoughts
He has kept his distance from the Savior, but it is time to come back
To come together as one because he doesn’t know where he’s at
He promised to spread light, but instead he gave birth to darkness
So now he must fulfill his duty and leave his own darkness
The mist covers his eyes and he’s nervous for the pursuit
The man named Jesse must bring back life by the scriptures of his roots
